Nasolabial Folds

The nasolabial folds, also known as smile lines, are the creases that run from the outer edges of the nose down to the outer edges of the mouth. These lines are often the first signs of aging resulting from a loss of or decrease in collagen, loss of fat, and a loss of elasticity and sunken skin.

The appearance of these lines can be reduced with hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers; a non-surgical approach to facial rejuvenation which requires very little downtime and causes very little discomfort.

The HA filler is injected just beneath the skin's surface to create volume and a softer looking face; facial contours become smoother thus giving a more youthful look.

The success of this facial enhancement procedure depends on the injection technique, which varies with each type of filler, as it is both an art and a science. The physician must have a thorough understanding of HA fillers' capabilities and limitations.

Selphyl - The "Vampire" Facelift

Selphyl is the only system that allows truly natural tissue to rejuvenate and increase your skin volume.  Your own blood is put through a centrifuge to separate out the concentrated platelets and growth factors from the red blood cells.  These platelets, rich with growth factors, are then injected just below the surface of the skin.  The natural biologically –active PRFM is loaded with viable platelets that gradually increases your skins volume by helping to stimulate your body’s own collagen production.

Safe, non-synthetic and non-animal derived, this is a viable alternative for:

  • Skin depressions
  • Smile lines
  • Hands
  • Acne scars
  • Scar prevention
  • Crow’s feet
  • Hollow under the eyes
  • Neck rings

Maximum results are achieved between 6 – 12 weeks after only one or two treatment.  Studies have shown the results to last for 18 months.
