Juvéderm with Lidocaine: dermal fillers without the pain

For generations, women have been doing painful things for beauty. Tweezing, plucking and waxing - there's not much we won't do for our appearance. But painful beauty can be a thing of the past, thanks to a new generation of dermal fillers.

Introducing new Juvéderm(tm) with Lidocaine: a gentle and comfortable injection experience for maximum consumer satisfaction.

Made with the pain reliever lidocaine, this new formulation of Juvéderm(tm) is a hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler that replenishes lost volume, diminishes facial lines and wrinkles, and enhances thinning lips while reducing discomfort and providing a gentle injection experience.

What makes Juvéderm(tm) with Lidocaine different from other dermal fillers?

  • Juvéderm(tm) with Lidocaine is a hyaluronic acid HA dermal filler containing the topical pain reliever lidocaine, which means consumers can now have a gentle and comfortable injection experience. It has been reformulated with 0.3 per cent of preservative-free lidocaine for increased patient comfort.
  • The addition of lidocaine does not change the original formulation of Juvéderm(tm) - results are still natural-looking and can last up to one year.
  • Consumers involved in recent studies found the new lidocaine formulation to be more comfortable than previous fillers. In fact, 87 per cent of study respondents said that Juvéderm(tm) with Lidocaine was more comfortable than other dermal fillers they have used before.1

About Lidocaine

  • Lidocaine is a local or topical anesthetic that is used to gently numb the skin and reduce the immediate feeling of pain.
  • Lidocaine has been used on many patients and has a well-established safety record. When added to Juvéderm(tm), lidocaine reduces pain almost immediately and can also reduce any tenderness following treatment.
  • Allergies to lidocaine are very rare - less than one per cent of patients are allergic. Since allergies are often linked to the preservatives in the pain reliever, this new formulation uses preservative-free lidocaine. However, patients with a history of anaphylaxis, multiple severe allergies, or allergy to lidocaine (or any amide-based anesthetic) should not use Juvéderm(tm) with Lidocaine.

How it works

  • Juvéderm(tm) with Lidocaine contains 'hyaluronic acid' (HA) - a naturally occurring substance that hydrates the skin and adds volume. Juvéderm(tm) works by replacing the HA and natural volume skin loses with aging, while plumping out thin areas and softening fine lines to give a long-lasting, natural and refreshed look. With the addition of lidocaine, the new formulation of Juvéderm(tm) reduces pain within seconds of use.
  • Juvéderm(tm) with Lidocaine can be used to effectively soften facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines), and to enhance thinning lips. It can also be used for volumizing and contouring of the cheek and jaw lines, and to restore lost overall fullness due to aging.
