Climbing a mountain for BC's kids
Monday September 4, 2006
Dear Subscribers, clients, patients and well-wishers:
On Sept 27, 2006, I will be leaving on a mountain climbing expedition with a very special group of people called Summits of Hope. Our team will be attempting to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. Our climb is very special, in that our goal is to raise money for childrens at BC Childrens hospital.
I will be climbing over 9 days, ascending to the summit of Uruhu at 19,200 ft with a team of climbers. The funds we raise will support cancer research, patient care, education and advocacy at the BC childrens hospital foundation, and the summits of hope endowment fund.
Ive agreed to raise at least $6000 in donations by Sept 15th 2006. If you are inspired by what you see on the website www.summitsofhope.com it would my pleasure to carry a prayer flag for you or your loved ones so that I could raise it at the highest peak and then bring it back to you.
I sincerely believe in our cause and have decided to do something bold about cancer. I hope that youll share this incredible adventure with me and follow our progress as we climb towards the summit.
Look forward to seeing you all on my return.
Sincerely,
Shehla Ebrahim
