Our experienced physician, Dr. Shehla Ebrahim, is pleased to support Salama Gachie, a non-profit primary school in Nairobi, Kenya.
Clients and friends are invited to share spare change with the “Piggy Banks” at Ambleside Dermedics and Afterglow Physician Directed Medical Aesthetics. This money is intended to raise funds to provide education and meals for underprivileged girls who want to attend Salama Gachie. Dr. Ebrahim’s goal is to raise $500 to support one student for an entire year, which will include her tuition, books, and uniform, plus breakfast and lunch.
Salama Gachie is a Community School operated by a registered, non-profit organization of women. The students are between the ages of 7-17 years and include children of single mothers, orphans living with relatives, and minors living on the street. Most caregivers are day labourers with irregular incomes, and they are unable to afford government schools.
We’ve included a brief video below about the school and how your donation can help these young girls. For more information, please contact our practice today.
